INSIGNIA - NOW AND THEN

 

   The Patch and Unit Insignia shown at top of page are currently in use for the U S ARMY CIVIL AFFAIRS AND PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS COMMAND.  In the early 1950s, the 2nd Loudspeaker and Leaflet Co. did not have a special patch.  The following insignia was used on some publications but I don't believe that it was officially assigned by the D.O.D.!

   While the unit was at Ft. Riley, KS we wore the 5th Army patch and after the unit was transferred to the Psychological Warfare Center at Ft. Bragg, NC we wore the 3rd Army Patch.  At the time the various PsyWar units at the Center were not Airborne!
